Coastal Humane Society’s 29th Annual Walkathon — Thank You for an Incredible Day
March 15, 2026 | Kelly’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Nags Head, NC
Coastal Humane Society’s 29th Annual Walkathon was a wonderful celebration of community, compassion, and the pets who bring us together. Held during Kelly’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, this year’s event brought dog families from across the Outer Banks together in support of a shared mission: helping people help their pets.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our walkers, donors, and supporters, we raised over $4,300 to continue providing essential services such as spay/neuter assistance, vaccinations, and emergency veterinary care for pets in need.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated, donated, and showed up in support of Coastal Humane Society. A special thank you to our partner veterinarians, whose continued dedication makes this work possible year after year.

Congratulations to Dr. Hayes at Sound Veterinary Hospital for bringing out the most dog families at this year’s Walkathon. Their team takes home the Puppy Cup, along with a well-deserved pizza party and bragging rights.
